Exploring the Options of STEM

As a senior and general biology major (B.A.), I have taken many science and math courses to fufill my degree requirements. Some of those courses included zoology, botany, microbiology, anatomy, calculus, physics, and organic chemistry. Throughout my journey, I have transferred to two different schools within a year and managed to still stay on track. Through all of this, I was able to find a love for biology.

As you progress further into your course of study, you gain a deeper understanding and level of curiosity. Your hunger for knowledge strikes. At the same time, you will be pushed into a more advanced realm of science. As you enter the field of STEM, you may lose interest in certain aspects or get discouraged. Not every part of STEM is enjoyable, but you may find that there are certain majors within the field that peak your interest more than others.

It is important to do some soul/brain searching. Keep in mind that different opportunities come about at different times and places. Exploring all of your interests will give you an amazing outlook and a definitive mind when it comes to career and academic decisions.
