And, as always, make sure you fill out your FAFSA annually, starting during your senior year of high school. This federal financial aid application helps to determine your eligibility for need-based assistance and assists you with college costs through grants, scholarships, federal loans, and work-study. The FAFSA is a free application provided through the federal government - never pay someone to fill out your FAFSA for you. Check with your guidance counselor to see if your school has a FAFSA Day planned.
